Exciting Update: Preferred Shopper Cards Are Getting a Makeover! Did you know you can earn rewards just by shopping local? When you spend at least $10 at a participating Cozad Chamber business, have them sign your Preferred Shopper Card. Once you reach $100, turn it in at the Chamber Office or Sonny’s to be entered into a drawing for $25 in Cozad Cash! You can pick up your Preferred Shopper cards at Sonny’s, the Board of Public Works, or the Chamber Office—so you’re always ready to shop and save. Drawings happen every Friday, and winners are announced in our Monthly Happenings! Cozad Cash keeps money local as ONLY Chamber Member Businesses can accept them as payment, supporting the incredible small businesses that make our community thrive. The Cozad Chamber is excited to welcome Show Time Painting, LLC as a new member! Owned and operated by Alex and Kim Jorgenson, Show Time Painting opened their doors in May 2020 in Gothenburg. Following the devastating hailstorm in 2024, you may have noticed their signs popping up all around Cozad — a clear sign of their hard work and commitment to helping our community recover. Recently they have purchased the equipment to begin stripping parking lots, a service unique to our area! We’re always thankful when local businesses step up when we need them the most. Be sure to check out some of their incredible work over on their Facebook page and show them some Cozad support!

On February 28th, 2025, the Cozad Area Chamber of Commerce announced our 2024 Business of the Year and our Distinguished Service of the Year recipients. Earl's Auto Glass Let’s rewind to 2017, when a couple with a vision made Cozad their home. By March 2018, they opened their doors for the first time in a small shop tucked behind Prescence Candles. Just one year later, they outgrew that space and moved to 8th Street. And in 2020, they settled into their current location—a place that’s now known and loved by many. What began as a simple Auto Glass repair and replacement business has steadily grown into something so much more. Earl’s AutoGlass now offers tinting, detailing, headlight restoration, safety system recalibration, Derksen Portable Buildings, and even a fun "corner market" full of auto accessories you didn’t know you needed! With nearly 30 years of combined experience, John and Beth have built something truly special. John comes from a legacy of auto body craftsmen—both his dad and grandpa ran body shops before him. And Beth brings a solid decade of skill and dedication to the business. Together, they’ve created something that reflects not just quality workmanship, but a deep desire to make a positive difference in their family and their community. And wow—did they live out that mission this past year. When disaster struck, they didn’t just rise to the occasion—they ran toward it with sleeves rolled up and hearts wide open. From a team of 6 to a group of 17, most of whom had never worked in auto glass before, they took on the challenge head-on. In those intense weeks, what they usually completed in a week, they were cranking out in a day. With guidance from their lead tech and support from skilled reinforcements, they powered through what could have broken many. But they didn’t do it alone. Neighbors brought coffee. Friends delivered food. Some even dropped off hay for the animals. The community showed up—and Earl’s AutoGlass responded with hard work, humility, and heart. It’s not just about glass. It’s not just about cars. It’s about people. And that’s what makes this year’s recipient so deserving. Congratulations to EARL’S AUTOGLASS – 2024 Business of the Year! It is the Chambers great honor to finally be awarding this years Distinguished Service Award to the very deserving Lindsay Wells. Lindsay not only served for many years on the Chamber Board of Directors but has continued to stay active on the Civic Affairs committee and involved in supporting other Chamber events through her employment at Security First Bank. She has coached numerous youth rec teams, and is currently a very active member of the Cozad Volunteer Fire Department, finalizing her EMT training and currently serving as the 2025 President, the Cozad Community Leaders, formerly known as Jaycees, again serving many years in officer positions and continuing to chair several events, the Cozad Teammates program, currently serving on their Board and was a former mentor, the Charitable Fund of Cozad, again of which she previously held a Board position, and at the Cozad United Methodist Church, where she was a former youth group leader and currently serves on their finance committee. Lindsay grew up in Cozad and graduated a Haymaker. She has accomplished all of this, and more, in the community that raised her, all while working and raising her own family. Lindsay is married to Jeff Wells and has a daughter Bryaunna and a son Beckett. Lindsay, on behalf of the Cozad Chamber and its Board of Directors, thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. Cozad thrives because of people like you.
