Luke Pinkelman - All-American in the outdoor shot put in 2012, Big 12 Champion in the indoor shot put in 2011, Big 12 Indoor Championships: Runner-up in the shot put in 2009 with a toss of 58-8 3/4, Competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2009, finishing fifth in the shot put, Nebraska Class B State Champion: Luke won state titles in the shot put from 2005 to 2007 and discus in 2006 and 2007 while competing for Cozad High School.
Andy Janovich - Husker Fullback from 2012 - 2015, Denver Broncos from 2016 - 2019, Clevland Browns from 2020-2021
Josh Banderas - Former Husker Linebacker.
Sarah Yocom - Started a team-high 33 games at first base for the Nebraska Softball Team in 2021,
Ashley Ford - Former Nebraska Softball Player
Rod Baker - Former Nebraska Husker Football Player!

Monte Kratzenstein - former defensive tackle for the Nebraska Huskers football team in 1989.
Brett Wetton - former kicker for the Huskers who later went on to play football professionally.
Conor Young - Cozad's very own former wide receiver for the Huskers. Currently working alongside his brother Dreu Young at Cozad Telephone Company.
Dreu Young - Former Husker tight end in 2008 and 2009. He made 13 starts out of his 34 games played.
Alex Boryca - Former Cozad High School football player who starred as linebacker and running back and went on to play for the Nebraska Huskers.

Our first celebrity shoutout goes to Bill Busch, an American college football coach. He was the interim defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2022.
Clay Anderson, a retired NASA astronaut. Launched on STS-117, he replaced Sunita Williams on June 10, 2007, as a member of the ISS Expedition 15 crew.
Brent Qvale, a former American football offensive tackle. He was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He played college football at Nebraska.
Will Yancy, former Husker Football player in the years 2007 & 2008.
Cozad's very own, Jared Crick, former American football defensive end. He played college football at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He played for the Houston Texans from 2012-2015 and with the Denver Broncos from 2015 - 2017.

The Cozad Chamber is hosting a Car Show in conjunction with the First Annual Parking Lot Party on July 13th. Held in Veterans Park from 2 - 5PM, door prizes will be available, no judging and no trophies. Pull your Classic cars out for their debut before Kearney Cruise Night the following weekend!
City Wide Garage Sales are scheduled June 1st! The Chamber and the Cozad LOCAL are collaborating once again to provide a map of all participants. To be included, please stop by the Chamber Office and fill out a form. Cost to participate is $20 and Chamber Members are FREE! Registration ends on May 16th, 2024.
The Chamber is excited to announce an eventful 2024, and we are dedicated to making it a memorable year! Please save the date for May 18th, 2024, as we prepare for what promises to be the inaugural First Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. This exciting event is being organized in partnership with the Cozad Country Club and the esteemed Team Jack Foundation.
We are thrilled to highlight a lineup of talented individuals from our own community, including participants such as Dreu Young, Connor Young, Jared Crick, Luke Pinkelman, Rod Baker, Sarah Yocom, Alex Boryca, and Ashley Ford. Additionally, we have extended invitations to renowned celebrities such as Brett Wetton, Chris Dishman, Monte Krazenstein, Clay Anderson, Bill Busch, Ty Steinkuhler, Josh Banderas, Andy Panovich, Brent Qvale, Matt Slauson, and many others who have expressed keen interest in attending.
Proceeds from various activities during the tournament will be allocated directly to the Team Jack Foundation. This includes contributions from all Celebrity Teammate enrollments, the Buy a Drive at Hole 10 initiative, and Title Sponsor proceeds. We are excited to unveil our 2024 Title Sponsor later this week!
