Updates from the City: The City of Cozad has applied for Disaster Assistance for our community, we have not received word back on the application as of this afternoon. Senator Ibach has been involved in these efforts as well. The forms for Property Tax Reduction Requests are in the city offices for you to pick up. Those are due to the Assessors Office by end of day on July 15th. 308-324-3471. Reminder that any trees or branches that do not fit in the green dumpsters should be taken to the tree pile along Hwy 30. We are continuously emptying both trash and grass dumpsters, due to the volume of debris we have to make additional trips to the landfill and the tree dump. Families that are experiencing hardship due to the storm, can access an application for emergency assistance through the Methodist Church at this link: https://gp-reg.brtapp.com/DisasterFundAssistanceRequest At the bottom of the application select local pastor. This is available to those in the congregation and community who were affected by the hail storm. Disclaimer, applications are considered individually and the amount of gift is dependent on the number of applications and the balance in the disaster response fund.
